Krisp provides 2 Microphone volume control options to optimize your audio settings during calls:
- Sync with Krisp
- Lock at optimal level.
By default, Krisp syncs volumes between Krisp and your working microphone to simplify volume control during calls.
In this article, we will explore both options to understand how they work and how you can select the Microphone volume control option.
Selecting Microphone volume control option
To select the preferred Microphone volume control option:
- Go to Krisp Settings >>> Noise Cancellation.
- Scroll down to the Microphone volume control options.
- Select the preferred option.
Details about the options
This option ensures that changes in microphone volume made in one place are reflected everywhere else.
Krisp automatically manages your working microphone volume in this mode to maintain clear audio. Krisp Microphone's level, on the other hand, is controlled manually from your device's sound settings or the communication app's AGC.
Info
Lock at optimal level keeps your working microphone stable, but it does not stop automatic gain control (AGC) in your browser or softphone. If you notice AGC causing audio issues, disable it in your browser or softphone as well. See How automatic gain control affects Krisp audio performance.
