Krisp Accent Conversion user guide

This article will help you understand how to set up Krisp Accent Conversion, use it during your calls, and optimize it for the best results. 

Choosing your Accent Conversion mode

• Voice Preservation mode: This mode retains your natural voice while softening harder-to-understand inflections. It’s ideal if you want to maintain individuality in conversations while improving clarity.
• Voice Profiles mode: This mode replaces your voice with a pre-configured male or female voice, creating a professional, neutral-sounding tone.

Voice Preservation mode

Here is how to configure the VPres mode to maintain your voice with Accent Localization.

1. Open the Krisp app.
2. Go to Settings >>> Accent Conversion.
3. Select Voice Preservation mode as your preferred option.

   VPres mode adapts to your natural voice and tone, making your speech clearer and easier to understand without losing what makes your voice uniquely yours
   Once the setup is complete, you can click Test My Voice to hear how your voice sounds during calls.

    

Voice Profiles mode

If your admin has enabled Voice Profiles Mode for your team, here’s how to set it up:

1. 1. Open the Krisp app.
   2. Go to Settings >>> Accent Conversion.
   3. Select Voice Profiles Mode from the options.

      You can check and pick up one of the pre-configured male or female voice based on your preferences. Note that you can always change your voice profile by clicking on the voice name in Krisp app.
   4. Use Test My Voice to hear your how you will sound in the call.

Tips for best Accent Conversion results

Here are some practical tips to optimize your experience:

1. Choose the right headset: Use a high-quality USB-wired headset with a boom microphone. This ensures clear audio input for Krisp to process.

2. Speak naturally and clearly: AI Accent Conversion doesn’t change your tone or add new intonations—it adapts what you provide. Avoid filler words and speak at a natural pace for the best results.

3. Position your microphone correctly: Keep the microphone slightly to the side of your mouth (about an inch away) to prevent breathing noises from interfering with the audio.
   
   

    

4. Monitor system performance: If you notice delays or glitches, check your computer’s CPU and GPU usage. Accent Conversion runs best on devices that meet Krisp’s recommended system requirements.
