When can the problem happen?

Generally, it happens if Krisp has been updated while Krisp devices were in use.
Other scenarios can lead to the same error for both personal and team users.

Explanation

During the updating process, if the Krisp Microphone and Krisp Speaker are in use, the Krisp drivers are not correctly released and set up again. As a result, you get the error of the missing devices.

  Important

In the following cases, you will get this error, as Krisp can't be used on these environments:
  • When using Krisp through RDP (while Krisp is not installed on the local machine).
  • When using Krisp on a Windows machine with an ARM-based processor.

Solution

If you have admin rights on your device:

Click Repair and restart your device afterward. If that doesn't help, uninstall and install the app back. You can download the installer from Download Krisp page of your account dashboard.

If you don't have admin rights on your device:

Ask your admin to repair Krisp for you. Restart your device afterward. If that doesn't help, the admin should uninstall and install the app back.
