This article will explain how you can set up Krisp with different browsers so that they work in any tab where a microphone and speaker are used.
In general, when using a web app in your browser, you can select Krisp Microphone/Speaker from the app's audio settings. But in some cases, web apps don't have dedicated audio settings and the setups are done directly in the browser settings.
Before selecting Krisp in your browser's audio settings, make sure to pick the physical microphone you wish to use and turn on Noise Cancellation toggles.
Set up Krisp with Google Chrome
- Copy the following URL in your Google Chrome bar: chrome://settings/content/microphone
- Pick Krisp Microphone from the exposed list.
The browser settings do not allow selecting a speaker that would work with every web app.
Krisp Speaker can be selected in the dedicated audio settings of separate web-apps, whenever such settings are present.
Set up Krisp with Opera
- Copy the following URL in your Opera browser bar: opera://settings/content/microphone
- Pick Krisp Microphone from the exposed list.

Set up Krisp with Mozilla Firefox
Mozilla Firefox does not have dedicated sound settings and will use the default microphone that your OS indicates.
You can pick the Krisp Microphone when you open a web app on Mozilla Firefox and a pop-up window appears:
You cannot use Krisp Speaker in Mozilla Firefox.
Set up Krisp with Safari (on Mac)
Safari does not have dedicated sound settings and will use the default microphone that your OS indicates.
You can pick the Krisp Microphone from the audio settings of the web app if it has those. Below is an example of the Google Meet audio settings:
You cannot use Krisp Speaker in Safari, as Safari isn't compatible with any virtual speakers due to macOS limitations.
