Speaking pace and Filler words with Krisp

This article will explain each of the following metrics and where you can see them.

  • Filler words
  • Speaking pace

Filler words and Speaking pace features are supported only for the English language.


Filler words

Filler words show your filler words ratio in your Talk Time. It starts counting after having 1 minute of Talk Time.

You can see the Filler Words count on the Call Summary.

If you click on the Filler words card, you will see the following information:

  • Total words count
  • Filler words count
  • Top 3 Filler words used
  • Filler words percentage in your Talk Time
  • Recommendation on how to sound clearer

Speaking pace

Speaking pace shows how many words you pronounced per 1 minute of your Talk Time. It starts counting after having 1 minute of Talk Time.

You can see your Speaking pace on the Call Summary.

To understand how the Speaking pace is defined, click on the Pace card on the Call Summary. Here you will find the following information.

  • Your Pace
    • Slow (<120 wpm)
    • Normal (120-150 wpm)
    • Fast (>150 wpm)
  • Words count per 1 minute of your Talk Time

The data never leaves your device and isn’t being stored on our servers.


Disabling Filler words and Speaking pace

You can disable Filler words and Speaking pace from showing up on your Call Summary. For that, go to Preferences >>> Notifications >>> Call Insights and uncheck the Filler words and Speaking pace box.

You will still see Call Summary if it’s enabled with the rest of the information.
