Why do I need to activate two-factor authentication (2FA)?

At Krisp, we prioritize user experience by offering convenient and flexible authentication methods.
We have implemented 2FA to provide an additional layer of security that significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your Krisp account. Enabling 2FA strengthens the overall safety of your Krisp account and ensures the protection of your sensitive information.


How do I enable 2FA for my Krisp account?

To enable 2FA for your Krisp account:

  1. Sign in to your Krisp account dashboard.

  2. Click on the Profile icon >>> Account settings and go to the Two-factor authentication section.

  3. Click on Enable two-factor authentication.
  4. Confirm the process with the verification code sent to your email address.
  5. Follow the 2FA setup process on your screen through your preferred authentication app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy) on your mobile device.


Once you enable two-factor authentication for your Krisp account, you will be automatically signed out from your Krisp account on all other devices.



You will be provided with a recovery code during the 2FA setup. Make sure to download or print it and keep it in a safe place. The recovery code is necessary to sign in to your account if you lose access to your Authentication app/device.


How do I disable 2FA for my Krisp account?

If for some reason you need to disable 2FA for your Krisp account or want to change it, click on Disable from the Two-factor authentication section and confirm the action through the authentication token from your authentication app.



You may later set up 2FA again through the same or another authentication app.
