Summary: Admins can make Krisp Microphone and Krisp Speaker the system default devices for everyone on the team, so any application that works with virtual audio devices picks them up without users selecting anything. Both settings live under Team Settings >>> Setup >>> System Preferences. The microphone setting is a straight on or off: off leaves the choice to each user, on enforces Krisp Microphone for everyone. The speaker setting has three states: off means users cannot set Krisp Speaker as their default at all, while on lets you either leave it to the user or enforce it team-wide. Enforcing applies regardless of whether Noise Cancellation is on, and users cannot override it.
As an Admin, you can set the Krisp audio devices as the system default microphone and speaker for the users on your team.
When a Krisp device is the system default, any application that works with virtual audio devices picks it up automatically, so users do not have to select it themselves.
Set Krisp Microphone as the system default
- Go to Team Settings >>> Setup >>> System Preferences
- Turn Enforce Krisp Microphone as default on or off.
Depending on your selection:
- Off: each User decides whether to set Krisp Microphone as their system default. This is the default state.
- On: Krisp Microphone becomes the system and communication default device in calling apps for everyone on your team, regardless of whether Agent Noise Cancellation is on. Users cannot select a different microphone as their system default.
Set Krisp Speaker as the system default
- Go to Team Settings >>> Setup >>> System Preferences
- Turn Enforce Krisp Speaker as default on or off.
Depending on your selection:
- Off: Users cannot set Krisp Speaker as their system default device. This is the default state.

On: Krisp Speaker becomes available as a system default, and you choose how it is applied:
- Set to user's choice: each User decides whether to set Krisp Speaker as their system default.
- Enforce as system default: Krisp Speaker becomes the system and communication default device in calling apps for everyone on your team, regardless of whether Customer Noise Cancellation is on. Users cannot select a different speaker as their system default.
