This article explains how to remove meetings from your Krisp account and what happens to them afterward. You'll learn how to move meetings to Trash, one at a time or in bulk, and how to restore them if you change your mind. It also covers how to permanently delete meetings, either individually from Trash or all at once by emptying it, and how to delete meetings from Manage Storage or Shared with me while keeping their transcripts and notes. Finally, it explains what happens to shared meetings when you delete them.
Meetings stay in Trash for 30 days before they're permanently deleted, and they count toward your storage usage until then.
Important
If your team's Admin has enforced the Auto-delete team members' meetings setting, your meetings are permanently deleted when the period set there ends, even if they're in Trash and their 30 days haven't passed yet.
How to move a meeting to Trash
You can move a meeting to Trash from My Notes, a folder, search results, or the meeting page.
To move a meeting to Trash from the meeting page, click Move to trash from the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the page. The meeting is removed from its current location, and a confirmation message appears.
To move a meeting to Trash from My Notes or search results, select the checkbox on the meeting and click the Move to trash button. To move several meetings at once, select the checkbox on each of them.
You can also move meetings to Trash one by one from My Notes, a folder, or search results: click the three-dot icon on the right side of the meeting and select Move to trash.
Info
If a shared meeting is in a folder, you'll see Delete Meeting instead of Move to trash. This deletes the meeting permanently, with the option to keep its transcript and notes.
Hint
Trash appears in the main navigation once it contains at least one meeting, and disappears when it's empty.
How to restore a meeting
You can restore a meeting from Trash at any time during its 30 days there.
- Click Trash in the main navigation.
- Find the meeting and click Restore.
The meeting returns to its previous location.
If you open a meeting that's in Trash, a banner at the top of the page shows how many days are left before it's permanently deleted. You can click Restore or Delete forever directly from the banner.
Hint
Immediately after you restore a meeting or move it to Trash, you're prompted to undo the action at the bottom of the page.
How to permanently delete a meeting
Important
Permanently deleting a meeting is irreversible. Once deleted, it can't be recovered.
Delete a meeting from Trash
- Click Trash in the main navigation.
- Find the meeting and click Delete forever.
- Confirm the deletion.
Empty Trash
To permanently delete all meetings in Trash at once:
- Click Trash in the main navigation.
- Click the Empty trash button.
- Review the number of meetings that will be deleted, and confirm.
Hint
You can also empty Trash from the Manage Storage page: click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner >>> Manage Storage, and click the Empty Trash button.
Delete a meeting from Manage Storage or Shared with me
Meetings deleted from the Manage Storage or Shared with me pages are deleted permanently, without moving to Trash.
- Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner >>> Manage Storage, or go to Shared with me.
- Find the meeting and click Delete Meeting.
- Choose whether to keep the meeting's transcript and notes, and confirm.
Info
When you delete a meeting from these pages, Krisp prompts you to keep its transcript and notes. Select the Keep transcript or Keep notes checkbox, or both. Once the recording is deleted, the sections you selected are retained.
What happens to shared meetings
If you move a meeting you own to Trash, people you shared it with see it as deleted. Only you, as the meeting owner, can restore it or delete it permanently.
Once a meeting is permanently deleted, previously shared links no longer give access to it.
