Krisp manages your audio devices automatically: it selects newly added devices, gives them priority, and switches your microphone and speaker as your device list changes.
If you move between workplaces or use different microphones and docking stations, Krisp remembers your previous setup and switches to the correct device each time you move from one to another.

Auto-selection does not apply if you have already set a default microphone for Krisp in your system settings.

When you plug in a new device for the first time, Krisp selects it automatically, so your next call uses it without any change on your side.

Automatic selection of the most recently selected device
When your device list changes, Krisp selects the microphone and speaker with the highest priority. If your previous device is no longer available, Krisp switches to the next available device that you most recently selected in Krisp.
Manually selecting an audio device in Krisp moves it to the top of the priority list, so Krisp follows your preference the next time your devices change.
