What is Krisp AI Chat
Krisp AI Chat is a tool that allows you to ask questions directly about your Krisp meetings.
It provides instant answers to meeting-related questions, highlights key insights like action items and decisions, and saves time by eliminating the need to manually review transcripts.
How to use Krisp AI Chat
To use Krisp AI Chat, follow the steps below:
- Open a meeting from your Krisp Meetings page.
- Click on the Ask Anything tab.
- Select one of the suggested prompts (for example, Summarize call by speakers or List Q&A), or type your own question in Ask anything... tab.
- Enjoy instant answers! While Krisp prepares a response, a Thinking indicator with the elapsed time lets you know a reply is on its way.
Personalize your AI Chat responses
The AI Chat input includes a Personalization icon that lets you add custom instructions for how you'd like Krisp to respond, for example tone, format, or areas to focus on. Krisp applies these instructions to your AI Chat replies going forward.
- In the AI Chat input, click the Personalization icon.
- Enter your instructions in the text field.
- Click Save.
Hint
You can update your instructions anytime by clicking the Personalization icon again.
AI Chat History
Krisp saves your previous AI Chat conversations so you can revisit them without losing context. Chat history is scoped to where you're working, so you'll only see conversations relevant to that context.
View and open chat history
- Open AI Chat for a meeting or another supported resource (My Meetings, All Meetings, a folder, or Shared with Me).
- If previous chats exist for that context, click the chat title dropdown at the top of AI Chat.
- Select a conversation from the list to reopen it.
Conversations in the dropdown are grouped into Today and Older, sorted by most recently updated first.
The chat history shown depends on where you opened AI Chat from:

When you send the first message in a new conversation, Krisp automatically generates a chat title based on the conversation and replaces the default New Chat label.
Delete a chat
- Open the chat you want to delete.
- Click the More icon next to the Close button.
- Select Delete Chat.
Important
Deleting a chat is permanent. Once removed, the conversation is no longer accessible from Chat History.
