Krisp AI Accent Conversion runs locally on the user’s device. It preserves the user’s voice and tone while reducing strong accent characteristics. The feature relies on:
- Real-time accent conversion: Using deep learning, AI Accent Conversion modifies the speaker's accent dynamically during live calls, ensuring clarity and comprehension without disrupting the natural conversation flow.
- On-device audio processing: All audio processing happens directly on the user’s device, ensuring privacy and compliance with enterprise security standards, including GDPR and SOC 2 certification.
- Voice preservation: Retains the speaker's voice with natural intonations and inflections while softening the challenging parts of the accent.
- Bi-directional accent conversion support: Supports both Agent Accent Conversion and Customer Accent Conversion (for customers speaking accented English, such as Russian-English or French-English).

Supported source and output accents
Krisp AI Accent Conversion currently provides output in US English and British English. The table below shows which input accents are supported for each output.
