This article explains the supporting team settings that help Krisp AI Accent Conversion work smoothly across your organization.
Important
Changes made in the Admin Portal apply after syncing in the Krisp app. To apply the changes locally, click Sync next to your profile badge in the Krisp app, then turn it back on.
Supporting settings for Accent Conversion
App update cycles
New and improved accent models are released through app updates. To make sure that your team gets the latest conversion improvements, adjust the app update settings by following the steps below:
- Sign in to account.krisp.ai
- Go to Team settings >>> Setup >>> Version Updates

Disable update restrictions or set them to the minimum values so users can install the latest Krisp version.
Audio settings
Accent Conversion requires Krisp Microphone (Agent Accent Conversion) and/or Krisp Speaker (Customer Accent Conversion) to be selected as the input/output device in your calling app. To reduce manual work for your agents:
- In the Admin Portal, go to Team settings >>> Setup >>> System Preferences
- Enable Enforce Krisp Microphone as system default if you’re using Agent Accent Conversion

Set Krisp Speaker as system default if you’re using Customer Accent Conversion. You can enforce the Krisp Speaker or allow the users to manually select it as the output device.

If your softphone is browser-based, you also need to select Krisp Microphone as the default device in your browser settings. See Set up browsers with Krisp for more details.
Agent Voice Isolation settings
Using a headset compatible with Voice Isolation can improve Accent Conversion results. You can manage Voice Isolation settings in two ways:

Enforce compatible headsets automatically
- Go to Team settings >>> Setup >>> System Preferences
- Enable the Enforce headset compatible with agent Voice Isolation when available option.

Manage Voice Isolation per device
- Go to Team settings >>> Go to Setup >>> Audio Devices

Make the necessary adjustments to the available devices.

Keep in mind that Accent Conversion processes the audio it receives - if the original audio from the headset is poor or the softphone and OS audio settings are misconfigured, conversion quality will be affected regardless of the settings above.
