We recommend using the most recent version of Krisp for the best experience. Keeping your Krisp app up to date is important for performance, bug fixes, and security improvements.
This article shows how to update your Krisp app to the latest version, and how Admins can control which versions team users run and how updates are delivered across the team. To see which versions your team is currently on, see Checking the app versions in your team.
Update Krisp to the latest version
Here is how you can update your Krisp app to the latest version:
- Click the profile icon on the right side of the Krisp app.
- Click Check for update.
- In the window that opens, click Update if a new version is available. Otherwise, you will see that your Krisp app is up to date.
Enabling automatic updates
Enabling automatic updates is a convenient way to always use the most up-to-date version. Here is how you can do that:
- Click the profile icon on the right side of the Krisp app.
- Open Settings.
- Toggle on Keep Krisp up to date automatically.

The Keep Krisp up to date automatically toggle is available only when your Admin has set Allow Krisp updates to Auto-download or Notify-to-update in the Admin Portal.
If you are a team Admin, you can also manage how updates work for everyone on your team from the Admin Dashboard. The following settings are all located under Settings >>> Setup >>> Version Updates.
Allow Krisp updates for your team
As a team Admin, you can control how your team members receive and interact with Krisp updates in their app. Turn Allow Krisp updates on to make updates available to your team, then choose one of three modes.
To set this up:
- Go to your Admin Dashboard on account.krisp.ai.
- Go to Settings >>> Setup >>> Version Updates.

Turn on Allow Krisp updates, then select one of the options below.

| Auto-update | Updates are downloaded and installed automatically. Users cannot change this, and the in-app auto-update toggle stays hidden. You can set the days and time frames when updates run (see Krisp Auto-update feature and update scheduling). |
| Auto-download | Updates are downloaded automatically, and users decide when to install them. Users can turn on Keep Krisp up to date automatically in the app to install updates automatically. |
| Notify-to-update | Users are notified when a new version is available and choose when to download and install it. Users can turn on Keep Krisp up to date automatically in the app to install updates automatically. |
If you turn Allow Krisp updates off, the "Check for update" option is hidden from the Krisp app menu for all team members. New updates will not appear, users will not be able to move to newer versions on their own, and they will not receive update notifications.
Krisp Auto-update feature and update scheduling
If you use the Auto-update option, by default the auto-update runs whenever a new version is available and no active call is detected. You can define a custom auto-update schedule based on your company's needs, with preferred days, timeframes, and time zones.
The exact time of the auto-update for all team devices is randomized within the default or custom timeframes.
As an Admin, you can change the auto-update schedule by clicking the change button near the Auto-update option:
Choose the version track for your team users
As a team Admin, you can choose whether your team members download the Standard or Enterprise versions and get the corresponding updates whenever available. The Standard version is selected by default.
To control the version updates option:
- Go to your Admin Dashboard on account.krisp.ai.
- Go to Settings >>> Setup >>> Version Updates.
- Select the Fast or Slow version.
Do not allow login from Fast track versions
If you choose not to enable Auto-update, you might prefer the Slow track, which provides new versions quarterly and reduces the frequency of manual updates.
If you would like to keep your team on the Slow track for higher app stability and also restrict login from Fast track versions of Krisp, enable this option in the same Version Updates settings.
Restrict maximum Krisp app version for team users
As a team Admin, you can decide the maximum Krisp version your team users can have. To keep your team on more stable versions, you can restrict the allowed version to a set number of versions behind the latest released Krisp version.

The default state of the feature is set to No restriction.
To control the option:
- Go to your Admin Dashboard on account.krisp.ai.
- Go to Settings >>> Setup >>> Version Updates >>> Restrict maximum Krisp app version.

Select how many versions behind the latest release your team users are allowed to be. Depending on your selection:
- No restriction: team users can update to the latest released version.
- 1 version behind: team users can update up to one version behind the latest release.
- 2 versions behind: team users can update up to two versions behind the latest release.
Restrict minimum Krisp app version for team users
As a team Admin, you can set the minimum Krisp version your team users must be on. Use this to keep everyone at or above a specific version and to phase out older builds.

The maximum restriction is set relative to the latest release, as a number of versions behind. The minimum restriction is different: you select one exact version from the list to set as the minimum.
To control the option:
- Go to your Admin Dashboard on account.krisp.ai.
- Go to Settings >>> Setup >>> Version Updates >>> Restrict minimum Krisp app version.

Open the version list and select the minimum Krisp version for your team users.
