This article will help you test Krisp Noise Cancellation to ensure it's working correctly and delivering the best results. Whether you're an Admin preparing for a rollout or an agent fine-tuning your setup, these steps will guide you through the testing process.
Test Noise Cancellation
Once set up, use the built-in testing tool to hear exactly how Noise Cancellation affects your audio.
- Click on the profile badge at the top right of the Krisp app, then select Test Noise Cancellation from the dropdown menu.
- Speak naturally while in your typical work environment. Include background noise if possible (for example, office sounds, keyboard clicks, or fan noise) to get a realistic result.
-
Once the recording is ready, listen to the playback and use the Without Krisp / With Krisp toggle to compare the audio before and after Noise Cancellation is applied.
- Check that background noise is properly removed in the With Krisp version and that your voice sounds clear and natural.
Hint
For the best results with Noise Cancellation, we recommend using a headset compatible with Agent Voice Isolation.
Info
Your test recording will never leave your device and won't be saved. It is only used locally to generate the comparison playback.
If you notice any issues with the test recording, click Report a problem at the bottom of the Test Noise Cancellation window to initiate the problem reporting flow.
In the report window, describe the issue in the Tell us about the issue field, then make sure to enable both options before submitting:
- Include system information for debugging
- Include the sample recording in the report
Click Submit report and our team will investigate and follow up.
If you get inconsistent results in your tests, check Noise Cancellation FAQs and troubleshooting for common causes and troubleshooting steps.
